As a licensed, professional real estate agent, I am a member of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors, the Virginia Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Since becoming a Realtor® in 2004, I have continued my education in the field because I know the importance in staying current with developments and in increasing my real estate knowledge.
In August 2006, I received my Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) designation to better serve buyers when representing them during the purchase process. In November 2007, I received my Graduate, Realtor's Institute (GRI) designation, which required over 90 classroom hours of intensive education in different real estate-related matters. Also in November 2007, I received my EcoBroker designation to better serve buyers and sellers interested in energy efficiency and green features in homes.
I have taken an active part in the greater Roanoke community for as long as I can remember. Because of my interest in the outdoors and hiking, I became the youngest appointed member of the Mill Mountain Advisory Committee in 1999. I am a huge proponent of land conservation throughout the Valley and an enthusiast of the Roanoke Valley Greenway system. I have also volunteered my time to help local and national political campaigns, the Binaba Shop in downtown Roanoke, the Sierra Club, and with Roanoke River and Greenway clean-up activities. I am also an affiliate of the Roanoke Valley Cool Cities Coalition. I have been a member of St. John's Episcopal Church all of my life.
